Sugaring is a surprisingly effective replacement for waxing that can give you the same super-smooth results with less irritation.
Getting your body waxed can be incredibly painful. This is due, in large part, to the way wax grips your skin throughout the hair removal process; wax indiscriminately targets anything it is applied to before being peeled off, resulting in an unnecessary amount of pain.
Wax can also be heated to much, make a mess and even be less sanitary. Pure sugar is too concentrated for most bacteria to survive in, does not need to be heated past body temperature and does not make much of a mess.
The sugaring hair removal recipe and technique detailed below allow you to sidestep the drawbacks of wax entirely without missing out on smooth skin.
Ingredients
- 2 cups white granulated sugar
- ΒΌ cup lemon juice
- 1/8 cup water
- 1 tsp honey
Method of Preparation
Step#1 : Mix water and sugar in a saucepan. Put the pan on the flame and set the flame to high. Heat and boil the mix till it becomes dark in color. If you will not heat it properly, it will be too soft to work upon hair, and if you will overcook it, it can become too hard to work. So, just heat it to get the right consistency and thickness so that it can work flawlessly over the hair growth.
Step#2 : Add lemon juice and honey to it. Mix well.
DIY homemade sugaring hair removal is ready.
