Home Remedy Shop is a family project. Every natural remedy guide on this site is written and medically reviewed by Veronique Claes d’Erckenteel, D.C., a Belgian chiropractor in practice since 1991, and built by her daughter Montoya, who founded the site. We only work with partners who share the same values: natural care, honest information and transparency about what’s in a product.

Veronique is the heart of our family: a second generation chiropractor who raised the third, and who shares her knowledge with more than 300 patients a month. Chiropractic is her profession; nutrition and natural therapies are her passions. She explores how the nervous system influences the way our organs work, how we move and how we adapt.
Her work is guided by the chiropractic philosophy that the body has its own innate intelligence to heal and stay well, and that our job is to support it from the inside out. That philosophy runs through every guide on Home Remedy Shop. Veronique checks each article against the research, adds the safety notes and makes sure it says clearly when to see a doctor.

Montoya grew up surrounded by natural care, a third generation advocate for natural living in a family of chiropractors. She brings her experience in SEO and online publishing to make natural remedies easier to find, easier to understand and safer to use, with her mother by her side as writer and medical reviewer.

Chiropractie Plus is our family’s chiropractic practice in Belgium, with locations in Maldegem, Gistel and Brussels (Uccle). It’s where Veronique has cared for patients for decades and where the third generation of our family now practises. A holistic, personal approach for young and old.
Collaborator: Tarnea O’Meara, That Healthy Co
Tarnea O’Meara collaborates with Home Remedy Shop as a source of information and insight on natural health and nutrition. She is the founder of That Healthy Co, and set out to bring more transparency to the food and supplement industry with Wild Collagen Reds, a blend of collagen, antioxidants and vitamin C with no additives, made from organic and sustainably sourced ingredients.
Tarnea is a graduate of Endeavour College of Natural Health in Brisbane and has studied chiropractic at the Barcelona College of Chiropractic. Wild Collagen Reds was first made for surfers and athletes, and is now used by people who want to support their skin, their collagen and their everyday wellbeing.
How We Research and Review
- Every health claim is checked against published research, mostly from PubMed and Google Scholar, and linked in the article.
- Every article says how strong the evidence really is, and never promises a cure.
- Every guide includes clear advice on when to see a doctor.
- Personal experience is always marked as experience, not as research.
- Each article shows who reviewed it and when.
