Deodorant is a definite necessity in this day and age. No one wants to be the stinker in the room!
However, the average deodorant contains chemicals such as triclosan (which forms dangerous compounds when exposed to chlorine or sunlight), various types of aluminum, parabens and more. Antiperspirants always include varieties of aluminum as their active ingredients and may contain a host of other potentially harmful substances.
The prospect of creating your own deodorant to avoid using dangerous substances on a daily basis may seem extreme or discouraging, but it is actually quite an easy thing to do. The recipe covered in this article is quick and painless to put together, plus it uses all-natural ingredients.
Go ahead and give it a try to keep from smelling without hurting your health.
Ingredients
- 6-8 tbsp extra virgin coconut oil
- ¼ cup baking soda
- ¼ cup arrowroot powder
Instructions
Step 1- Begin by mixing together baking soda and arrowroot powder.
Step 2- Next, add hardened coconut oil to the mix and blend well with a spoon till it achieves consistency like a deodorant.
If you find the mix to be too wet, add more baking soda or arrow root powder. You can store it in your old deodorant dispenser or can also store it in a container. Apply with hands, each time, you want to use it.
