The following symptoms can be observed in people having kidney stones:

  • Severe pain as the stone grows

Nature has bestowed us with several natural ingredients to combat kidney stones. Two such ingredients are celery and watermelon seeds. Let’s see how you can use them?

1. Watermelon Seed Tea

Watermelon seed tea is a predominantly helpful home remedy to get rid of kidney stones. It is very simple to prepare and can also be used for cleansing the kidneys.

Ingredients (For 2 liters)

  • Fresh watermelon seeds – 4 tablespoons (approximately)
  • Water – 8 cups (2 liters)

Procedure

Take a coffee grinder or a blender and crush the fresh watermelon seeds, to convert them into a powdered form. You do not have to purchase the seeds separately; you can remove them from a fresh watermelon brought from your local store. Now, add water in a saucepan and bring it to boil over the high heat. Empty this boiled water above the ground seeds. Let the mixture stand for 10 to 15 minutes. Allow it to cool and then strain it. Drink this freshly prepared watermelon tea for at least 3 times a day.

2. Celery Seed Tea

Being rich in organic sodium and potassium, celery seeds are especially useful for those suffering from kidney problems. Moreover, they help detoxify our body.

Ingredients (For 2 liters)

  • Celery seeds (ground or cut) – 1 tablespoon
  • Boiled water – 1 pint

Procedure

Take finely chopped or ground celery seeds and pour them in hot water. Steep and let it cool for a while. Strain and drink it right away. Consume this tea once a day or 3 times a week.

Note – If you are pregnant, do not drink this tea.
