Shaving creams that are being sold over the counters contain harsh chemicals that not only cause irritations on your face, but also make your beard and facial skin harder and unsmoothed. Face is perhaps the most sensitive area of your body and any effect, whether positive or negative, can be seen instantaneously on your face. Being the most sensitive area, it requires something pampering and gentle, which can soothe skin’s irritable condition and calm it down.
So, here is the simplest recipe to make your very own shaving cream as well as shaving gel.
Homemade Shaving Cream
- 2/3 cup virgin coconut oil
- 2/3 cup Shea butter
- ¼ cup olive oil/ sweet almond oil/ jojoba oil
- 8-10 drops of lavender essential oil or any other oil of your choice
- 5 drops of another essential oil
- 2 tsp baking soda
Step#1 : In a saucepan, melt together both- Shea butter and coconut oil. Stir until both the ingredients get mixed well together.
Step#2 : Remove it from heat and add olive oil/ sweet almond oil/ jojoba oil. Next step is to add the essential oil to this mix.
Step#3 : Transfer all the contents into a jar and refrigerate until the whole mix solidifies.
Step#4 : Next is to remove the solidified mix out of the refrigerator and let it soften a little. Then, add 2 tsp baking soda as baking soda eases a razor’s performance and also acts as a mild exfoliant. Whip the whole mix with a hand blender for about 3 minutes to get foam like consistency.
Store the contents in a cool, dry place and have a gentle shaving experience each time you use it.DIY homemade shaving cream is ready!!!!!
