- 1 cup coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
- 5- 10 drops of essential oil
About the Ingredients
Vitamin E Oil
It is a totally optional ingredient that is being used for people having very dry skin and wants to add something more moisturizing to their butter.
Essential oils have antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial properties. Besides, they soothe irritations on the skin.
Method of Preparation
Step #1 : Mix together all the three ingredients. Make sure that you do not melt the coconut oil before mixing it as it will not give the desired consistency and texture as required to make the body butter.
Step#2 : Whip it with an electric mixer or hands for 7-10 minutes till the mix becomes airy and light.
Step#3 : Your coconut body butter is ready to use. Pour it carefully into a clean jar and start applying as a normal body lotion. This body butter has longer shelf life than ordinary lotions. A little quantity of the product is enough to get desired results.
